Finally!
Yes, finally my college's Xmas play has come to an end last night. Phew! I felt as if a huge burden has been released off my shoulder. I am sure everyone involved in the play will feel so too.
My friends and I have been going through hectic weeks just because of this. Do you guys have any idea how tiring it was?
We have been doing our props weeks ago, rehearsing for our play as frequent as we can and just a day before the play, we even stayed back in college till night to decorate the Gallery!
The process were oh-so tiring, seriously! But yeah, it was quite fun doing them too actually. And FYI, I was sick and still feeling sick right now.
2-3 days ago, I can hardly talk, no thanks to having sore throat. And my flu, gee. My nose was running like an opened tap, literally! Then, I had headache and felt so weak throughout the period when I am not feeling well.
Guess what? I was so worried that my sickness will be affecting my group's play, specifically my Mr. Candle role. Luckily, the lord has mercy upon my soul and I managed to pull it through.
Not surprisingly, everyone were even busier than ever on the day when the play was staged, from setting up props, testing the PA system to doing last minute rehearsal and making up.
So, the play started around 6pm, not long after the audience filled up the place. And yes, thanks to those who came and support! Thank you very much! I hope you guys who have attended the play enjoyed the show we performed.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to witness Penguin's group play as I was asked by someone to do certain thing. Sucked right? I know.
But I am sure they did well and knowing that Penguin won the 'Best Actress' award for the play proves it. And besides, I saw their rehearsal the night before the play, so I pretty much knew how it goes.
As for my group, we performed last. Some plans we thought of before this didn't go as planned and the audio part was messed up a little, nevertheless, we did our best by performing our very best!
We were undeniably nervous back then as I felt both my legs were shaking when I was on the stage and I tried hard not to!
After the play has ended, everyone was giving a sigh of relief. Then, I was told that the audience like the props we've made as they were colorful and nice. The even better news is that they enjoyed our performance too!
Now, I am sure my group and I are glad to hear that! And that's exactly what we wanna hear. Who doesn't like compliments, right? Good job to my group members!
P/S: More pictures to be uploaded soon. Stay tuned! lol
